ALBANY, GA (WALB) –After our broadcast aired Monday night about members of an Albany church searching for a missing homeless man in need of emergency surgery, the man was located.

A tip came in that 48-year-old Donald McCloud was staying in an abandoned house near North Jefferson Street. A police officer found McCloud in the home badly dehydrated. His eye sight was so bad he could barely see.

He's being treated at Phoebe Putney Hospital. Members of Saints of God House of Worship had been searching for McCloud. They had helped the man in the past.

He was struck by a car last week and while at the hospital, doctors discovered a mass on his brain during a CAT scan that will cause him to go blind if untreated. He was last seen Thursday at the Salvation Army.

Church members say they want to thank all of those who called and helped locate him.
