ALBANY, GA (WALB) –An Albany business owner says she is the victim of a counterfeit check forger, and she hates having her good business name hurt by crooks.

Alma Noble says she was notified Friday that an Albany business had cashed a counterfeit payroll check in the name of her business, Baby World Development Day Care Center.

Now Noble warns other business owners to be on the look out for these phony checks. "We've worked for years to earn a good business reputation, and I certainly hat to have it destroyed by some culprit who is out to make easy money and to defraud other people", said Noble.

Noble warns other businesses to closely check unfamiliar customers trying to cash checks.
