VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –Valdosta Police investigate more violence in what's become a dangerous part of town.

Three people were shot Friday night near a nightspot where two other shootings occurred recently.

Those three victims are okay.

19-year-old Marquis Moore of Valdosta was shot at this lot on South Lee Street Friday night around 10. His grandmother is still shaken up.

"It makes me angry," said Everlynn Dupree. "He could've been dead in the funeral home this morning for nothing."

After Moore was taken to the hospital, police say two others showed up at South Georgia Medical Center saying they too were shot and wounded at that same spot.

Witnesses tell us one of the victims jumped over this fence to get help. Lynn Jones lives on the property where the crime occurred.

"I was sitting in the house when I heard the gun shot by the time I got outside officers were already here and had roped off my house from here to the barber shop," said Jones.

The lot is across the street from the American Legion where two shootings have happened in the last three months.

"I just heard one but three of them could've got shot further down the road or something," said Jones.

Jones wants the violence to stop and so does Dupree.

"I wish there was a way they could stop it because these young kids are getting worse and worse everyday," said Jones.

"They're killers around here," said Dupree.

Police are following leads but don't have any suspects.

Police say all three victims are out of the hospital and are expected to recover.

They don't have a lot to go on right now. If you can help their investigation, call them at 293-3145 or the Crime Tip Line at 293-3091.
