ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Voters steadily streamed into the elections office in Dougherty County Monday to cast their ballots early in the General election.

There was actually a group of people waiting to vote before the office opened Monday morning. Elections Supervisor Ginger Nickerson says that's a sign that people want to make sure their voices are heard.

Nickerson said, "Hopefully, they're interested. They want to get it done early and so they don't have to worry about it election day, which is why we're here, which is a good thing. It's been very steady, very good day."

You can vote early at the elections office on the 2nd floor of the government center in Albany from 8:30 to 5 PM Monday through Friday.

Check with your county to find your early voting location. Also starting Monday, military and overseas voters can log onto a secure website and print out their ballots that they can mail to their county's elections office.
