Green light for warning light

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Dougherty County Commissioners give the green light for a warning signal at a dangerous intersection.

There have been quite a few serious wrecks at County line road and Highway 82. There were two motorcycle crashes this summer, one motorcyclist died. Monday, the county commission voted to allow the Department of Transportation to install an advanced warning system.

It will be similar to one already in place at Nelms Road and Highway 19. When the state DOT has more money available, they plan to install a traffic signal. That could be about three years away.
