Thomasville Police are looking for two men who attempted to rob a store, scaring customers and clerks.
ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Tourism is big business in Tifton, $80 million per year.
They're hoping to increase that number by drawing more people to town. The two day Rhythm and Blues Barbecue Festival is bring more visitors.
For the second year they hosted a Memphis Network Barbeque competition, and it's getting noticed.
Organizers say this year it has gotten larger, and they have a lot more in the works.
Next weekend they have the Tractor Pull and the La Fiesta Del Pueblo.
"Tourism is the front door of economic development. If people are satisfied with your community they may live here, stop and buy gas, stop and buy groceries, an economic booster all the way," said Tyron Spearman, Tifton-Tift Co. Tourism Dir.
This year 20 teams competition in the Barbeque Festival for a $2,000 prize.
