ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Two people died on South Georgia roads within the past 24-hours. One in Thomas County the other in Colquitt.

Around midnight 19-year-old Joshua Pritchett died when the pick up truck he was traveling in collided with an SUV.

The crashed happened outside of Doerun on Georgia 33 just north of Tony Brothers Road at the 20-mile marker.

Pritchett died at the scene, he was a passenger in the pick-up. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.

GSP is also investigating a single vehicle crash that killed a Grady County woman Saturday morning.

Troopers say 28-year-old Destin Jenkins of Cairo flipped her Nissan Maxima several times around 4:30AM on Georgia Highway 3 near Meigs. She was ejected from the car.
