SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The loss of a child is unimaginable for any parent. But for one family, it became a horrifc reality.

"It just hurts so bad," said Michael Mosely.

Michael Mosely's son, Ashley, was killed in an auto accident on Saturday evening when the car he was riding in lost control and crashed into a tree.

"I have no anger, I have no animosity, I mean, accidents happen. I wish I could bring it back. I wish I could start that day or that afternoon all over again and it would be me, it'd be me, you know, but I can't change that. I can't change that," Mosley added.

Ashley Mosely has a twin brother and they both attended Bible Baptist School in Savannah. His father says the two were inseperable and now his greatest concern is how this will affect his other son.  "I know he misses him. I can see it in his eyes, he misses him," Mosley said.

Mosely says it's the simple things he's going to miss most.  "There's nothing that replaces having a child stand there and say I love you and look you in the eyes, no, that's the ultimate."

For now, Mosely and his family are just trying to find a way to carry on. "Just trusting in God, he's going to take care of it, you know, and one thing that's so, so, so, helpful is knowing that he's going to heaven to be with God," he said.

It's that comfort that will give this family strength.

The family plans on holding a visitation Tuesday evening and service on Wednesday at Bible Baptist Church in Savannah and the church is accepting donations in Ashley Mosely's name.

The accident is still under investigation.
