AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -  Former Lee county head coach Tim Goodin has accepted the head coaching job at Southland Academy.

Goodin has been the head coach at Randolph-Southern for the past two years.

Last season, the Patriots had their best season ever with eight wins and a trip to the GISA class A semifinals.

Goodin has more than 70 wins as a head coach at Terrell County, Lee County and Randolph-Southern.

He has also been an assistant at Westover and Dougherty.

Goodin takes over at Southland for Jack Harris who resigned back in November.
