CRISP CO.- A former Dougherty County Athletic Director is now hoping for victory in his bid to become a Crisp County Commissioner.

Ferrell Henry is running for the District Two, Post One position held the past six years by Wallace Mathis.

"We'd like safe environment for all citizens, we'd like to bring in industry and have educational options for young and better skill workforce," Henry said.

"We have roads that still need improved, working on ballfields for kids, made a lot of improvement past six years like to continue doing it," Mathis said.

Ferrell is a retired educator, coach and school administrator. Mathis is a Crisp County farmer.
