ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The murder trial of two suspected gang killers continues under heavy security at the Dougherty County Courthouse.
Prosecutors have not decided whether a third man who pleaded to reduced charges in the murder of 19 year old Timothy Murray, will testify.
22 year old Desmond Oliver pleaded guilty to six felonies including aggravated assault and gang activity. He was given a 40 year sentence, at least 23 to be served in prison.
Oliver could be called to testify against 19 year old Erick Jackson and 20 year old Montell Giddens.
Investigators say members of three different gangs started shooting on Rosedale Avenue in November 2007. Prosecutors say Jackson and Giddens are members of different gangs and were shooting at each other, when Murray was caught in the crossfire.
