The Darton College soccer program is still in its infancy but the Cavaliers are growing up fast on the field.
Darton beat Young Harris 2-1 Sunday afternoon at South Georgia College to win the Georgia Junior College Athletic Assocation soccer tournament in just their third season.
After a scoreless first half, the Cavaliers got the game's first goal when Jason Powers scored a header goal off a free kick from the foot of Eamonn Moylan.
Jimmy McHenry scored the other Darton goal.
Darton College is 13-4-0 and will advance to the district tournament that will be played the weekend of November 9th at the Cavaliers soccer complex.
