THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Kids in Thomasville got an exciting lesson on transportation Friday.

Students at Hand-In-Hand Primary school couldn't contain their excitement as they went around the parking lot checking out Rv's, tractors, ambulances, and much more!

As part of the school's annual Transportation Day, these youngsters got to see different modes of transportation used in everyday life.

"The kids get to do hands on activities. They get to actually clime up into some of the vehicles, sit in some of the vehicles, you know act like they are driving. We take their picture with them," said teacher Karen Sykes.

The highlight of the morning was the helicopter landing. Kids watching below were a sea of "oohs and aahs"!

Many of the Thomasville citizens who brought their vehicles taught lessons about how they're used. Feedback
