    Some folks in South Georgia frantically tried to get in touch with loved ones who live near the destruction in Oklahoma. Leesburg's Wendy Mathis has a brother who lives in Oklahoma City and works in Bethany, just 10 miles north of Moore. Albany native Liz Barfield recently relocated to a city nearby Moore, Oklahoma.

Dougherty County - A new Chamber of Commerce concept will have cash registers ringing all over Dougherty County.

The Dougherty-Albany Chamber of Commerce is the first chamber in the state to sell gift certificates.

The certificates can be redeemed at more than 300 small to mid-sized business in the Dougherty County area, from grocery stores to day spas. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President, Kathi Shillo, "The money stays here. It's to promote small businesses and to keep shopping in Albany. You can still shop online, spend money in Albany. It stays right here."

This week an Albany company bought 14-thousand dollars worth of Chamber Checks. The checks can be bought at the Chamber on on their web site.

More than 150 other chambers around the country are involved in the program.
