ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police are investigating two shootings.  The latest happened around 8 o'clock Wednesday night on an east Albany street.

31-year-old Demarcus Grant was shot here at Thistle Court and Sycamore Court in East Albany.

One bullet grazed his head near his ear.  After being shot, Grant crashed into two cars as he drove off in a Nissan Sentra.  He ended up a little more than a mile away where he called for help.

"The victim got into his car then drove to the second location which was 1631 Gardner from there police and EMS were called, right now we don't know the circumstances under which the shooting occurred," said Albany Police Media Manager Phyllis Banks-Whitley.

Grant's wounds are not life threatening.

Police are trying to piece together what happened.  They say they don't have any indication this shooting is related to an afternoon shooting in south Albany.
