LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - Leesburg Police are asking for your help to find the getaway car used in a convenience store robbery last week.
This is the car involved in the robbery of the Flash Foods in Leesburg February 26th about midnight. It's a 2008 or 2009 Dodge Magnum.
Investigators say three suspected Blood gang members sped away from the scene in the car. They think the crime was a gang initiation for two of the robbers.
Leesburg Police Sgt. James Vick said "that is definitely the getaway car. On the video you see them get out of the car, and then after the robbery get back into the car, and drive around the back of the store and exit on the Bypass."
Investigators are still looking for 29-year-old Zayet Nelson. Police think he's a Blood gang leader who's behind a string of four holdups in Albany and Leesburg last week. He is wanted in four South Georgia counties.
They believe the robbers headed back toward East Albany just after midnight in this Dodge Magnum.
If you have any information about the car or Nelson, call Leesburg Police at 229-894-9704.
