South Albany gang shooting reported

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Albany Police are investigating reports of gang threats and gunshots in a South Albany neighborhood.

46-year old Maryland Brown told police 20 to 30 gang members came to her house on Hickory Lane around 7:40 Tuesday night demanding to fight her son.

She told Police one of the gang members started shooting at them.

Five people were in the house, but nobody was hit.

    A man was taken to the hospital late Monday for what was first thought to be a bullet wound, but it turned out that his wound was caused by a shell casing, which broke his skin.

    A Camilla organization that helps adults with developmental disabilities told WALB News 10 that they are shocked and saddened after vandals targeted their basketball courts. The group is asking for the community's help to stop trespassers.
