ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

When Rodney Blackshear took over as head coach of the South Georgia Wildcats he was playing catchup to put the roster together.

After months of hard work Blackshear says the Wildcats have finally caught up

South Georgia players reported to training camp on Sunday.

Blackshear is concerned about expierience at offensive line but is pleased with the group of veteran skill players the Wildcats have brought in.

Blackshear says one of the top priorities during training camp will be buliding chemistry among those veterans.

"You know you have a bunch of guys that have played this game that hopefully based on what we've talked to these guys about they are willing to sacrifice their numbers for the good of winning football games" said Blackshear.

South Georgia opens up the season March 21st on the road against Florida. The home portion of the schedule begins March 28th, that game is also against Florida.
