ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two construction projects could slow drivers in northwest and mid-town Albany overnight.

Starting at 7:00 Monday evening, the Department of Transportation will close the westbound left through land and the left turn lane where Dawson Road and U.S. 82 meet. The work is expected to last through 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The Department of Transportation will also close the westbound turn lane of Oglethorpe Boulevard at the intersection of North Slappey Boulevard from 11:30 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. The Department of Transportation wants drivers to consider alternate routes while the work is being done.
