TY TY, GA (WALB) - Albany was spared but we're learning of some damage in Tift County after strong winds wreaked havoc Saturday afternoon.

The Tift County Sheriff and Emergency Management Director are touring several homes on Picket Street in Ty Ty that sustained storm damage.

Strong winds blew off parts of the roofs from several of the homes there. There is even a report of a car that overturned.

Georgia Power and Mitchell EMC crews are also working to restore power. Georgia Power tell us that there are about 175 homes, down from 350 that are still without power. Fortunately there are no reports of any injuries.
