ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Squaws haven't been region champions for two decades and they didn't want a top seed in the playoffs going to waste, but it almost did.
Albany trailed by 8 against Pierce County with about 1:30 remaining in the 4th quarter Friday night.
That's when Albany decided it wasn't going to end like that. Not this soon, not in their home gym in front of all of their fans.

Albany took advantage in overtime.
Jasmine Myers led the Squaws with 22 points and Albany survived the first round with a 54-48 win in overtime.
"I feel like I'm dreaming. I don't even no how to describe it. It's amazing" said Daquanda Arnett.Feedback
