ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's city attorney wants to offer his services as a benefit for city employees. Nathan Davis would like to see his office provide real estate closings and wills for employees at no cost.

He says it wouldn't add a tremendous cost to his office, but it would save the employees who use the services hundreds of dollars.

He said, "Well, I just think it would be a tremendous benefit to be able to help employees, and since we're such a large employer the cost per employee would be low to do real estate closings, wills, somewhat mundane matters, but they're out of pocket expenses for an employee."

Providing pro bono advice to employees is another service Davis would like to provide,  and he wouldn't get involved in criminal cases or bankruptcies.

The city commission would have to approve of Davis offering the services to employees.
