DAWSON, GA (WALB) -  The Terrell Academy Lady Eagles have had their share of painful losses at Georgia College's Centennial Center in the last four years.

The Lady Eagles have lost in the Class A state championship game three times in the last four years.

A loss to Fullington in the region championship game just may put the Lady Eagles over the hump in their return to trip to Milledgeville this year.

Since losing in the region championship game, Terrell Academy has won their two GISA state tournament games by a combined score of 145 to 35.

The Lady Eagles hope that intensity will lead them to that elusive first state championship.

Haley Stanford said. "We are so fired up and so ready to come back. To get back to Milledgeville and will be ready to go. That loss just pumped us all up and made us want it that much more."

Terrell Academy plays region rival Crisp Academy at 2:30 p.m. in the Class A semifinals.

Fullington plays Briarwood at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
