ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The FDA says peanut products shipped between the Blakely, Georgia and Plainview, Texas plants may have created a contamination link between the two.

Wednesday, the FDA said the Blakely plant regularly shipped honey roasted peanuts, hot and spicy peanuts, and other seasoned products from Blakely to Texas.

The process is being reviewed by federal health officials after product coming from the Plainview plant tested positive for the same strain of Salmonella found at the Blakely plant. It was initially believed the Blakely plant was the sole source of the Salmonella outbreak.

All three Peanut Corporation of America plants have been shut down. Wednesday, the Bankruptcy Trustee said the Blakely plant is being prepared for sale.
