Thomasville - A South Georgia auditorium will be in the spotlight this week. Workers are putting final touches on renovating the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium.

The early 1940's building now has a state of the art lighting and sound system with 12-hundred new seats. Thomasville Main Street Director, Sharlene Celaya, says, "The auditorium restoration is paid for by private funds, people in the community have seen the benefit in this wonderful facility. We have raised almost a million dollars. I'm very pleased to have this wonderful auditorium to show for it."

The official grand opening for the public is this Sunday, starting at one thirty.
