Deerfield-Windsor prepares for Brookwood

For a 4th consecutive season the Deerfield Windsor basketball team is in the final four.

The team has seen plenty of success in the last 4 seasons but it hasn't been able to hoist a state championship trophy in the air.

The Knights are hoping on Saturday they can do just that.

Before the Knights think about Saturday's championship game they have to focus on playing Brookwood in the semifinals on Friday.

The Warriors moved into triple A this season after winning the double A championship last year.

Brookwood and Deerfield Windsor met twice in the regular season and split the series.

Head Coach Gordy Gruhl knows that it will take a maximum effort from his team to earn a spot in Saturday's Championship game.

"They know how to play in big games. We had two excellent ball games with them in the regular season and we know that we're gonna have to play our absolute best to play for a state championship on Saturday night" said Gruhl.

Deerfield Windsor and Brookwood tip off on Friday at 7:00 in Milledgeville at Georgia College & State University.
