COCHRAN, GA (WALB) - The Deerfield-Windsor Knights are in the GISA AAA semifinals for a fourth straight season but their trip to Milledgeville was almost canceled by Westminster-Augusta.
A cold shooting Deerfield-Windsor team scored just 15 points in the first half and trailed the Wildcats by six.
The shots started to fall in the second half and the Knights won 48-41.
Deerfield-Windsor will face region rival Brookwood in the AAA semifinals on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Georgia College's Centennial Center.
The Warriors beat Dominion Christian 48-32.
In the AA second round games at Brewton-Parker College, Sherwood Christian and Tiftarea both saw their final four dreams dashed.
The Eagles lost a tough one 46-44 to Arlington Christian.
Christian Heritage from Dalton beat Tiftarea 51-48.
Terrell Academy boys fall in Class A to Dawson Street 45-44.
