(Albany-AP) -- Warin Major accounted for 280 yards and two touchdowns and Kerenski McGhee ran for 101 yards and one score as Albany State blanked Clark Atlanta 33-to-nothing today. Major ran for 74 yards and scored on a 5-yard run in the third period and passed for 196 yards, including an 18-yard scoring pass to Bryan Thomas, also in the third. The victory lifted Albany State to 4-4 overall and 3-2 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Clark Atlanta, which failed to complete a pass in seven attempts with two interceptions, fell to 2-6, 1-5. Hosea Harris scored on a 33-yard run early in the final period and Adrian Arango had field goals of 25 and 37 yards, both in the opening quarter.
