Americus- Artist Hoyle Floyd is making huge fiberglass turtles which will be sold to businesses. The money will benefit turtle grove, a community built play park that will be part of the Flint River Project.

Floyd says making the turtles is a nice change from his usual boat creations.

"It's different from what I normally do, and I get to create, and you get to do something that you can say I did it. The creative process is satisfying to me," says Floyd

Some businesses have already purchased their turtles. The first buyers of these large scale creatures will be announced on next Friday at a concert to benefit the turtle grove project.
