ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Lee County school board has approved Peach County defensive coordinator Dean Fabrizio as the new head coach at Lee County High.

Fabrizio's defense at Peach County gave up on average just over a touchdown per game.

Before moving to Georgia, Fabrizio was a head coach at DeLand High School for two seasons.

He takes over a Lee County team that after winning its only region title in 2005 has just five wins in three years.

Fabrizio says he believes his plan combined with the foundation built by former Trojans head coach David Johnson will lead Lee County back to the top.

Dean Fabrizio said. "I am going to try to build on off what he has done. I think the plan that I have and have used several places. It is one that is proven and has worked a lot of places. I am really excited to get in place here."

Dean Fabrizio also was an assistant at Orlando's Edgewater High School.
