ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A law enforcement trainer is charged with a felony and arrested twice for stalking the mother of his child.

Thirty- three year-old Jason Burton was jailed earlier this month after Heather Taylor told Lee County sheriff's investigators Burton sent her harassing text messages and followed her around town.

After violating his bond by attempting to contact Taylor again, Burton was re-arrested early Monday morning and charged with aggravated stalking.

In the past Burton, worked for the Albany and Leesburg Police Departments. He was working as an instructor at the police academy in Tifton but was transferred to the training center in Forsyth after his first arrest.
