ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Vandals using pellet guns and bricks shattered windows on more than a dozen cars in Albany in the last two nights.

The cars belonged to both home and business owners, and they suspect gang members.

One of the hardest hit businesses is Uncle Robert's Used Cars on West Oglethorpe. Six cars or SUV's had bricks or rocks thrown through rear windows, with the damage estimated at $4,500.

Owner Danny McDonald has heard the gang rumors.

"Meanness, it's just meanness," he said. "Or maybe a gang initiation. Don't know."

At least eight cars in the Holland Drive area of East Albany had windows shattered in recent nights by pellet gun or rocks.
