Albany- City of Albany, Dougherty County and Water Gas and Light workers are getting a break on their health insurance premiums. The contract with Blue Cross-Blue Shield has been terminated because of a seven percent increase in premiums.

The new insurance provider will be the Georgia Resource Company in Duluth, Georgia. Doherty, Duggan and Rouse Insurers are serving as consultants for the city and county as they make transitions between insurance companies.
