A former Albany State University Professor will not be tried for sexual assault against one of his own students.
The Dougherty County grand jury decided not to indict 38-year-old Dr. Abiodun Ojo. He was arrested for raping a 20-year-old female student at his home on Gillionville Road June 21st.
Ojo was suspended without pay from Albany State after his arrest, and he has since resigned his teaching post.
Dougherty District Attorney Ken Hodges said his office will not pursue the case, since the grand jury declined to indict.
