Albany - Governor Roy Barnes opens a campaign office in Albany.
Barnes South will promote statewide Democratic candidates, like Cathy Cox, Max Cleland and Mike Thurmond. The only other office is in Atlanta. Governor Barnes says, "We've always enjoyed the support here. Albany is a trade center. It just seemed natural."
Barnes South will be a central office for volunteers to get South Georgians to vote on November 5th.
Barnes South is located on Broad Avenue in the Brooks Plaza shopping center.
