ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Tomorrow is the day we were supposed to make the big switch, but WALB TV will continue to broadcast both analog and digital signals.

President Obama signed a bill delaying the digital television transition until June 12th.

Because of government confusion and signal interference with Columbus and Atlanta stations, WALB management decided to continue both transmissions for the time being.

WALB Vice President and General Manager Jim Wilcox said "there is no need to worry. We are going to maintain the analog signal channel ten and won't be switching over tomorrow on the 17th."

WALB is the dominate news source for most of South Georgia, and Wilcox says the station wants to continue to serve all viewers, including those who may have had difficulty getting the government rebate coupon to buy a digital converter.
