VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

It's been more than a week since a 12-year old Lakeland girl died in a fire that was intentionally set.  This weekend, several events are being held around Lakeland in honor of LaQuinta Bowens.

Friday at 7:00 PM, New Beginnings Church Ministries is sponsoring a Prayer Walk.  LaQuinta's relatives are members of that church. Walkers will meet at the Lakeland Gazebo across from the elementary school.

On Saturday from 9:00 AM until noon, Second 2 None Riders motorcycle club will collect donations at Harvey's Supermarket on South Valdosta Road to help cover funeral expenses.
