Colquitt County, GA (WALB) - A small brush fire quickly got out of control late Thursday afternoon in Colquitt County and has now spreading to an old bowling alley.

Pictures taken by Sam Stevens show the roof of the old bowling alley collapsed. Fire fighters from three Colquitt County fire departments, the Georgia Forestry Commission, as well as Omega in Tift County are trying to extinguish the flames.

The fire began around 4:00 in the 300 block of Willislake Road off Highway 319 between Norman Park and Crosland.

A fire fighter had to be taken from the scene to Colquitt Regional Medical Center after becoming overheated battling the flames.
