VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -  Offensive line was a top priority for Valdosta State on the recruiting trail this year.

So is the position of quarterback.

The Blazers are thin at quarterback with news Chris Hart will not be playing in the fall.

The odds of a division one player transferring in don't look promising at this point.

That means the Blazers will give two highly touted freshmen looks this summer.

Valdosta State signing quarterbacks Brett Whitmire from Jacksonville, Florida and Stephen Warren out of Abilene, Texas.

Coach Dean says both quarterbacks were told the position is theirs if they can win it on the practice field.

David Dean said. Both of them have the capability of doing that. Obviously you don't want to rely on freshmen to run your football team. They come in and end up being the best then they are going to be the guys that do it."

Dean says sophomore Russ Callaway is the Blazers quarterback heading into spring practice in two weeks.
