State high court sides with Oxford

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Supreme Court says Albany-based Oxford Construction Company is not liable for a car crash that killed one woman and the unborn child of another.

Francesca Bragg was six months pregnant when she was severely injured in a head on crash in Dougherty County in April 2004. She lost her child.

Seven months earlier, Oxford Construction had done spot leveling work on that road for the county.

A lawsuit filed by Bragg blamed the company for the wreck.

The State Supreme Court upheld a lower court's ruling that Oxford was not at fault.
