Blakely, GA (WALB) - The FBI is now assisting the Food and Drug Administration, Office of Criminal Investigations (FDA/OCI), in the ongoing investigation of the Peanut Corporation of America.

Personnel from the FBI and the FDA are on the site of the peanut butter factory in Blakely and are setting a mobile command post with several trailers and vans. About a dozen are on the scene today.

Neither the FBI nor the FDA would answer questions about the investigation, but referred us to the U. S. Attorney in Albany.

We will have more information on the case later today.
