Albany- Some able-bodied city employees found out how it was to be physically challenged for the day.

Some sat in a wheelchair, others were blindfolded and given a white cane. Then they had to try and navigate through the Microbusiness Enterprise Center as though they were disabled.

Employees say the activity was definitely a learning experience. "All of us left more enlightened. All of us left with a new agenda, and that is to be more aware of what people with disabilities face day in and day out, and apply it to our lives as public employees," says Albany Public Information Manager Kevin Hogencamp.

Employees also went through a day long workshop learning about the Americans with Disabilities Act.
