ALBANY, GA (WALB) - If you're an avid video game player you could stand to win some money this weekend.

Video Game café is hosting a Halo tournament.

On Saturday at least 90 players took the controllers to prove they're the best.

16 flat screens and X-Boxes surrounded the patio at Beef O' Brady's near Darton.

Gamers paid a $20 entry fee for a shot at the $500 grand prize.

If you can't play that's okay, Spectators gain access for free and have the chance to win door prizes just for showing up.

"Basically what we're doing is using video games as a magnet to bring in the younger crowd, maybe get them hooked up into the Big Brother program Young Leaders of America. We've been working tightly with Albany Parks and Recreation with Ronnie and Susane, and we're trying to bring something to Albany which will be an attraction, and get people out of their homes to doing things," said Michael Todd, Video Game Café.

It's not too late to get in on the action and show your skills.

You can grab a partner and head out to Beef O' Brady's Sunday for the Halo team competition.

It gets underway around six.
