Albany -- Albany's marketing groups are working together to tell you about coming events and activities. City of Albany public relations and marketing staff from the Parks at Chehaw, the Civic Center, Municipal Auditorium, Recreation Department, Chamber of Commerce, and Convention and Visitors Center are joining forces.

The idea is to sell Albany events more as a team effort.

Parks of Chehaw marketing director Shannon Smallwood said "Throughout the whole year you see economic impact as we work together to compile a fun calendar and a tourism calendar to urge people from all over the state as well as the Southeast here to Albany."

The marketing group is putting together a web site now, to better inform people who live here and tourists of events happening around Albany.
