ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  The second round of state titles starts this weekend for Georgia High school wrestlers.

Lee County will host the area AAAA tournament Saturday.

The traditional area tournaments have individuals wrestling against each other.

Lee County coach Phil Maxfield says winning the area title is not going to be easy with Hardaway, Harris County and Upson-Lee now among the nine teams added to the area.

The format also changed in the top four finishers in each weight class advance to sectionals next weekend and not the state tournament.

With a team dominated by freshmen, coach Maxfield hoping his young team will build for the future at the area meet.

One Trojan who does have a chance at a state title is senior Darren Eckles.

He placed fourth at last year's traditional state tournament.

Darren Eckles said. "I have got to win it. That is the only way I will be satisfied. To be the state runner-up is good but my goal is to aim for first."

The finals for AAAA area wrestling tournament are tomorrow afternoon at Lee County High School.
