VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -
Valdosta State golfer Brent Witcher will get a taste of life on the pro golf tour. The Blazer senior has been given a sponsor's exemption to play in the Nationwide Tour's South Georgia Classic at Kinderlou Forest in April.
The former Darton golfer won three tournaments last season for the Blazer golf team and was a finalist for the Nicklaus Award given to the nation's top division two golfer.
Witcher will miss the practice rounds since he will playing for Valdosta State on Monday and Tuesday of the tournament week at the Gulf South tournament in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
