Albany- The Albany police department is helping area kids celebrate the incoming fall season in a fun way.

Kids had a chance to enjoy hayrides, face painting, and pumpkin carving contests Saturday.  Albany police and firemen were on hand to help these kids realize they have support from law enforcement agencies.

Police officers say they hope this event will motivate kids to become more comfortable with them and see them as people they can trust.
