ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Peanut Corporation of America issued another public statement this Wednesday saying there's a great deal of confusing and misleading information in the media about their Blakely plant.

Wednesday the company said, "there were regular visits and inspections of the Blakely facility by federal and state regulators in 2008." The statement adds, "independent audit and food safety firms also conducted unannounced inspections of the Blakely facility in 2008."

The statement says one of those inspections gave the plant an overall "superior" rating. PCA says they're working day and night to recall affected products and to compete its investigation.
