ALBANY, GA (WALB) -An 84 year old South Albany woman was injured in a home invasion robbery Monday, when she attacked by a man begging for food at her door.
Esther Eckstein remains hospitalized in fair condition. Investigators say a man knocked at her door in the 1000 block of West Highland just before ten o-clock Monday morning.asking for work, because he was hungry.
When she opened the door to give him food, Eckstein said the man pushed her down on the floor and choked her. He then went into her bedroom and stole jewelry and money.
