TIFT COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Two people were arrested in Tift County for animal cruelty after deputies found two dogs living in some bad conditions.

Deputies were called to 114 U.S. Highway 319 North after receiving calls of shots being fired in the neighborhood.

That is where 42-year-old Brian Holland and 39-year-old Vickie McGlashan were arrested after deputies found a puppy with severe head injuries and another malnourished pregnant dog.

A total of six dogs were taken from the residence. The puppy was taken to a local vet.
